ug chess inter hallsElizabeth Frances Sey Hall came out winner at this year’s University of Ghana Inter-Halls Chess Championships which came to an end 28th march 2015 and took place at the Athletic Oval of the school campus.

The tournament, organized by the Sports Directorate of the school, brought together six halls to battle in the rather dramatic round robin tournament with a time control of 20 mins per player. Participating halls included Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall, JIHS (Jubilee-ISH), Sabah Hall, Akuafo Hall, Commonwealth Hall and Africa Union Hall (PENT).

The tournament ended with Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall coming out undefeated with 15 points, followed by Akuafo hall, commonwealth Hall and Africa Union hall respectively after a tie-break matches as they all accrued 9.5 points each after all five rounds of contest.  JISH hall came 5th with 3 points and Sarbah hall 6th with no points.
