GCA TO COMMENCE LIVE BROADCAST OF CHESS GAMES
Chess is regarded as a mind sport and is currently one of the fastest growing disciplines in the country.
As part of efforts to make chess a spectator sport, Ghana Chess Association is due to begin live broadcast of chess games online and on mobile apps.
This is made possible by the procurement of 6 Units of electronic chess boards from Digital Chess Technology Company in the Nertherlands.
This comes at the time when the association prepares to commence the Premier Chess League this weekend. Ghana is also due to host West Africa in the Zone 4.4 Chess Championships to take place in Accra come April 20th – 29th April, 2019.
The President of Ghana Chess Association, Mr.Philip Ameku says the Association needs assistance from Government and Corporate bodies to be able to procure more of these boards. The six boards could only serve 12 players at a time, he added.
